clutch and torque converter upgrade

Hello ALL
I have two 2016 hammerhead/mudhead 208cc go karts
Im looking for a reasonable clutch and torque converter upgrade
I think what is on them now is a series 30
Any suggestions would be appreciated

Hello and welcome...
Its kinda a question of what do you want, a clutch or TC setup on the driveline?....
Now without pics we cant really tell, but Im asuming the tires are fairly large ~15" OD??
So a TC is a better bet......

that's right, its the stock directional knobby tires

the rear tires are 16 x 7-8
the front tires are 16 x 6-8

A Series 30 torque converter is good for up to 8 HP engines I believe, that engine is probably 6 to 7 horsepower. I would concentrate on upgrading or changing the sprocket sizes. What are you hoping to accomplish? What aren't you happy with? I don't think a converter upgrade is gonna help much.

I was wanting to know if there is something that will last longer than the Chinese parts
one of my karts is way slower than the other one
are the TC's rebuildable?

Maybe go with an actual Comet brand. Higher quality supposedly. Rotary or Stens might offer something. They're reputable options if so.

I wouldn't take the time to rebuild one, they get hammered too much. Get a new one with a warranty and spend more time riding instead of swearing at some Taiwan scrap.

Thanks a bunch for the info
The TC is not working properly
I put the kart up on a block and ran it and it spreads apart fine
when my daughter gets on it it will not spread apart under a load so she has no top end speed
cant seem to turn the TC by hand so im going to order a new one
the comet series are on back order for a while so im still looking for the best quality at the best price
