clone governor removal

I open my duro max 16hp today to remove the governor but I can't see what holds the plastic gear in place.Can some one help me with a how remove a clone governor.Can the linkage be adjusted to get more rpm with out removing it.

Very likely held on with a small circlip. Look closely.

Adjustment- look at the hand throttle lever. Behind it, you may fins a screw, possinly with a spring wrapped around it. You have the right screw if it appears that the throttle lever rests against the tip of this screw at full throttle. Back this screw out for more RPM.
