Clone engine crank shaft bolt question

We have a Honda clone engine (gs160?) and I have the centrifugal clutch installed on the drive shaft (3/4").
The engine is mounted so that the drive shaft is inline with the rear swing arm pivot on our dirt devil kart. The distance between the swimgarm pivot bolt and the clutch is about 1/2" of play.
Should we install some kind of bolt in the end of the drive shaft?
If so what is the thread and size for this bolt?

you should have a bolt IMO.

my baja warrior seems to have had no bolt there from factory, and my clutch slides around sometimes.

when i put the 2 piece clutch on there, the clutch drum fell off the shaft and the shoes came out and hurled at my arm and flew across the yard....

The bolt you are looking for is a 5/16" fine thread (24) bolt of whatever length you need. 3/4" long should be fine if the clutch does not extend off the edge of the shaft.

Yikes!

You also don't want the clutch to rub against that other bolt if it has any play in it like Blue was talking about.
