I have beat the internet down and found surprisingly little about Clark Mfg. Other than they were located in Conyers, GA and possibly related to the forklift makers.
I know from personal memory that they had literature on several models circa 1984. Also from personal experience, Clark made a Dukes of Hazzard go-kart which was, according to Scott Romine of Collecting Hazzard, "unofficial merchandise." This leads me to induce that "The Rebel" may have come after a cease and desist. Though the DOH kart was not a 446 chassis.
By comparison of other posters on other sites, the 446 Rebel is almost identical to the Cyclops 440 save for the graphics. They even have the same wheels which are nearly impossible to find replacements for.
You can get a replacement flag from
Crazy C's General Lees as he has already recreated the flag though you would have to specify "The Rebel" as I customized mine.
I only have one but it's completely restored with a few modifications. No parts break down but was able to restore from stock available parts except for the wheels and mine was only 50% complete.
You can read more about the whole sordid affair in my threads
"The General" and
"Go-Kart Alley the series"
Can't wait to see pics!
