Do the rear tires spin when they are off the ground? I am very skeptical that they have the wrong sprocket on it.

I'm thinking that there might be a slipping CVT clutch belt or even stuck or locked brakes?

Does every tire spin freely?

The tires will spin once they're off the ground. Brakes are free, but with any weight in the go kart it wont get out of it's own way. I agree that it seems like a clutch is slipping, but the stupid machine is brand new and has reduction gearing with jackshafts. Not sure of the internals there... I understood it to be just gears...would it be worth pulling apart to look? Im gonna have to do something!

How does the engine sounds when you try to go? Does it sound like it’s working hard? Does the sound change in/out of gear? Does it change with the wheels off the ground?

The engine sounds like it is working correctly...sounds pretty much the same whether it's trying to get moving or I have the wheels off the ground and freely spinning. It definitely revs up to the limiter when the pedal is fully depressed. I've removed all the external throttle limiters; all that would be left is the actual governor inside the motor.
All oil levels are correct, too. Im really leaning toward an internal issue in the reducer, I just dont know all the internals or what it could be in there.
