China 230cc quad

I bought this quad for 200 bucks. I know its China, but It has a 5 speed manual and it was 200 bucks so I couldn't resist. The guy said the electrical blew out. He wasn't lying, where the cdi plugs it the rubbers melted. He took it apart and lost the parts. Also, Idk where the U pipe went that goes to the muffler. This is the parts list that I need.

Coil- 5.95 free shipping

Muffler- ?

I dont know where to find the exhaust, but im still looking. It looks like it has really low hours. I think the people flipped it from the broken back bar and crack in the fender. The tires have almost no wear. The guy said it ran for 4 hours then the cdi or coil blew out. Im gonna zip tie stitch the little crack in the rear fender and make a new back bar since the old one is bent to crap.

Good score. Are you going to be able to save that chain? Electrolysis works great on chain like that.

Karl, Try to find what made that burn/short out like that. Look for a burnt wire around the pipe area.

It looks like the CDI box burnt out, the rubber on the plugs is melted where it would plug in.

Thanks, but it is not a roketa. Its a ZHEJIANG TAOTAO. Imported by VICOO. I cant find any parts for them. I might make an exhaust pipe.

that is a lifan engine. i have the same one in my shop. i could take pics and some measurements of the exhaust flange if it will help you make one

not much, but they probably produce the products for less than half of the selling price anyways.

labor is super cheap.....

I got the keyswitch that shipped from texas and hopefull the muffler will come tomarow because it to ships from texas. The china parts IDK when they will be here but hopefully soon. Ill post some pics of the new muffler.
