well broke and needed presents, out came the welder... making 3 for members of my family, 4 for friend that always helps me in garage... of course he's helping :D, found the idea online... had some of the materials, total cost to build 7 units? 28$ :) CHEAPER JOEL! :D... will finish soon, then coat in oil and into oven like seasoning a cast skillet, gives projects like this a killer blackened finish that doesn't get scratched over time, and stops any rust... going to use oil recycled out of deep fryer to save $, plus presents will smell like tasty french fries! :D

Joel, that is even more awesome than your meat brands.
Wow! Great job!

thanks nick! almost finished, all are welded but need to be checked for sharp edges i missed, and then to be "seasoned", remembered how much work it takes to clean used horseshoes along the way... had a girlfriend in the past whose dad was a farrier (he shoed horses), i could get all the used horseshoes i wanted for free, had plan of starting small business making western art, but the time it took cleaning the horseshoes killed the profit margin... if anyone was going to do a project like this i highly suggest just buying new shoes, can get them for 2-2.50$ each, sizes would be the same, not all bent up, or worn down, no nails to remove (mean metal nails, not attached horse hooves! :D), no rust, and no crushed gravel and dirt packed in the slot where nails go
