Sounds like the control unit might be bad if its blowing fuses like crazy.

Take the control unit apart and see if you can see what is shorted out. What brand is it? Why don’t you guys just make a mold and cast up some new pieces. Or cut some round metal discs and bolt the two halves together with some PC7 on the broken edges.
