bare in mind, motorbike engine are a whole different kettle of fish to a clone, i seriously reccomend, if you want a bike engine and to modify it, that you first get your hands on a free one that is wrote off, seriously scored cylinder ect, then learn to tear it apart so you know what to expect inside.

How i learned to work with car engines, was getting a cylinder head out of a burnt out escort and carrying it the bones of 3 miles, one of the best things i done in my life, the amount i learned from it was unbelievable. highly reccomended

I agree with the idea of buying the correct engine the first time but I bought the clone because I figured what's $100 if I destroy it? I think learning on a clone is better for the rookies.

Good thing you don't have to worry much with the valves then but the only good way to learn is by tearing stuff up or apart and fixing it.

Thats how im learning now and everything i know now.
