Whose going to carry a spare v-belt with then if their truck uses a sperpintine belt? That's just my thought, unless it was a early 90s and prior truck with v-belts. Poboy (Doug) would probably give his seal of approval on this lol. I'll have to keep this in mind for the future though, but by then every vehicle made be all electric...then you are really up a creek without a paddle.
it's totally a "if you have all this junk in your toolbox" kind of a fix for sure. But serpentine or "V" all you have to do is turn the alternator. I had never even thought of such a thing. You could even do something goofy with rope and a bicycle if you had to.
