Guys,

Apparently I need a chain tool of some sort that will allow me to break and re-connect my #35 chain for the kart I'm building. Any recommendations on the best product/provider of something like this?

I've looked at local home improvement type stores as well as some of the online places like Northern Tool but didn't seem able to find anything.

Thanks!

I could use a proper tool as well, but in a pinch, I've just (carefully) ground off the heads of the pins on the link I wanted to remove and pried off the plate. then reconnected with a master link.

This is one of the most used methods I believe. Easy and cheap.

I have two of these 1 #35 and 1-#40/41 and let me tell you are the be all end all on chain breakers and repair tools, the best I've ever seen or used.

So, how does this thing work? Will it damage the removed pins? Will I need to order some of the replacement pins as well in order reconnect the chain?

Thanks.
