Hey guys! So I've looked everywhere and tried everything. Every turn I make at a semi high speed my chain falls off the clutch and Rear sprocket. It's a #35 chain and sprocket. It's all brand new too. Clutch is aligned with the sprocket. It's exactly how a go-kart should be but it just keep flying off. The chain isn't loose it anything it's on a perfect link.

The chain is loose or misaligned.

Use a laser pointer to make sure that the sprockets are in line. Also, your engine mount could be tilted slightly, try using washers to get it on the same plane as your driven gear.

Get a chain tensioner too.

Does it come off the clutch first, or the rear sprocket?

Is the big sprocket new also .:useless: check the air in the tires. Its possible that the side loading forces the chain and sprocket to contact the ground and it scrubs your chain off . is the chain looking gnawed on?

I had this problem with my current build due to an axle only 3/4" thick. It sticks out to far for the diameter and flexes in turns or on bumps causing the chain to loosen and fall off.

He should also check to see if the engine bolts are tight, it could twist under the stresses of the turn and misalign the sprockets. A wimpy frame or cracked weld in the frame could cause it also.

Or...his rear axle has side-to-side play and as he takes a turn, the axle shifts sideways and derails the chain.

Or it could be one-wheel drive, same issue. I'm done asking for photos though. I just accept that some pockets of the interwebz (and some of its inhabitants) exist in an anti-technology Dark Age.

This can't be. Every single person I know other than myself and wife, have a smart phone that they wouldn't be 2 inches from in any given moment of any given day.

Well you havn't looked everywhere or tried everything because you still have a problem with it....take a deep breath and go in fresh and take another look at it and never EVER think "it cant be this" or "cant be that" actually check it out to rule it out and/or confirm its status.

yeah I still have my flip phone, I figure if it was good enough for Captain Kirk it's good enough for me.
IMO smart phones are a perfect match to the smart cars.....yeah remember those.
