Chain is too lose.

I have a ken bar streaker go kart with a honda gx390. It has a comet 40 torque converter. My problem is my chain is too lose and will pop off sometimes. I cannot figure out how to adjust it so that the chain is tight. Any suggestions?

Need pics for on how this one is mounted, to say for sure.
Could raise/move the motor, move the axle... Many things.

I can't say how the jackshaft is mounted if it's fixed with a plate to the engine base or directly to the frame,
but if you cannot tighten the chain with moving the jackshaft/engine, then maybe a halflink would help you adjusting the chain length a bit more precisely.

Looks like if you slide back the jack shaft it will change the belt tightness as well.

Id remove a link or 2.. and go from there..

If the chain is old it may be worth replacing. It may be a little stretched.
