I have a go kart with a centrifugal clutch and I want to upgrade to a tq. IT has a standard predator 212. When the tq is on it the sprocket doesn't align. And I cant move the sprocket closer on the axle. Is the only was I can make this work is by cutting and re-welding the engine plate?

Welcome. Post some pics of the TC and engine. You can often just use washers as spacers, but lets see what you have before we can give you some definitive suggestions
