For the rear wheels on my kart I'm hoping to put some 16 inch wheels on it the only problem is that im worried and centrifugal clutch will die after only a few rides because of the strain it takes to get these big wheels going , my other option is a tourque converter but i dont really want to spend that money if i dont have to will this wat should i do? , also how much would a tourque converter contribute to the performance of the kart

If you're riding anywhere but a street a torque converter is required.
If it's street a nice gear ratio would be "okay" for a centrifugal.

i had a cheap centrifugal clutch and it was always smoking, and going up hills, it would have very slow takeoff. i have now got a 40 series, and it is hugely better! if you have the money/ can find any i would get a torque converter. if you are on a tight budjet, i would check the for sale section.
