CDI AC or DC

I bought these two buggies and I'd like to get them up and running soon, hopefully. The first two photos are of a Trail master 150XRS and the other three are a Helix 150. Both have the same engine, the ASW GY6 from what I've researched. Both have wiring that is absolutely butchered or missing. I work too many hours, have no garage to work on these, and when I have a minute to tinker with them it's always raining. I want to get them running ASAP for my kids. I want to start over fresh with the wiring on both and just order complete harnesses and electrical components so I can knock these out quickly. What I'm getting at is, are these supposed to have AC or DC stators and CDI boxes? I don't want to order the wrong stuff because the harnesses I found are like $185 each.

Which cdi box was there originally?

The size of the cdi box can give a clue as to whether it's ac or dc.
Will the light turn on with the engine not running? That leads to a DC cdi.
Also the number of wires to the cdi box.
Check for voltage at the cdi box. No voltage is ac. If you get 12v it's a DC box

You need a garage to store these in as well as work on them in. They’re not 1950 Farmalls where you can leave them out in a field. They need good storage or they just deteriorate

Parts are missing, wires are all chopped up, I can't check for voltage. I was just wondering if they come from the factory in AC or DC?

I hope this will help. I'm not the greatest with wiring myself. However I did have 1 issue were a wire had come lose from my horn an blew the fuse an lost all power. It took me a few minutes to notice that the wire had come off.

Thank you, the diagram will come in handy. I'm new to these go-karts so I don't know much about them. My big concern is finding out if the Helix 150 and Trailmaster 150XRS come from the factory with AC or DC CDI ignition. To order the wire harnesses I need to know which ones to order.

I would assume if it has lights and stuff it might be a DC spark box. You can mod in a DC box to an AC system. Just run the 12v to it. So I don't think it matters.

The Helix doesn't have lights or a harness for lights but the Trailmaster has lights.
