Maybe even tap the holes in the adapter plate
Off hand those brackets look like they are for pressed flange self aligning bearings not those racing bearing holders...

You should be able to drill holes. Just make sure that the extra holes don't compromise the integrity of the bearing hanger
It looks like the cassette won't be able to sit "flat" against the bearing holder, even if you drill more holes
Maybe make some adapter plates
Make 'em so, they can sit flat against
...& have bolt holes to attach 'em to the existing bearing holders
Then, also have holes for your "new" bearings too
Maybe even tap the holes in the adapter plate
...so, that the bolts for the bearing holders "thread" right in to the adapter, from one direction & the bolts for the cassettes can "thread" in from the other side![]()
where can i get those plates ? man this build isnt going as planned , i was able to mount them on temp and the axle went in smooth ?

Yours is a custom application
...so, you would have ta make 'em yourself
Why are ya tryin' to use that "odd" size axle?
You can get a "standard" 1" axle for ~$30.00 @ BMI
…& the "proper" bearings (for those bearing brackets) for ~$20.00![]()
I'd venture a guess that the one bit of the bracket (circled) is rubbing against the inner race of the bearing and why it gets tight so some more trimming is required. You'll also want to make sure you have the tabs as strait and true as possible so when the cassettes are bolted tight that the axle can still slide in the bearings, if not you're putting stress on the bearings that they were never designed to handle and you'll wear them out quicker than they should AND you're robbing yourself of some power.
Something is still binding there. Loosen them all and tighten again.
ok will do
i tried everything but the axle gets hard to spin that is until i placed washers between the cassettes and frame and its a much better now. when wheels are on the axle itll spin about 10 times is that good enough?
