Anyone have a carter super wheels that can show me the proper way to connect the throttle cable to the spring on the throttle rod? The spring at the end of the throttle rod has a hole big enough for the throttle cable so Im guessing it goes through there and connects with a cable stop. Which I did this way and the cable stuck.

I just finished putting mine together. I may be able to get a photo of it this evening when I get home. I've seen some that have rods running forward all the way to the pedals. Mine has a 3/32" cable with the throttle rod only being about 8" or so long directly under the seat. The sleeved throttle cable hooks to a tab off to the right side and it held on by clamping it to the tab with a bolt and washer.

I made my own control rods for the pedals to the cables and I threaded the ends with a 1/4-20 die in order to put a threaded clevis. check my build in my profile if youd like

Jonboy, comparing your setup and mine it definitely looks like Carter's design evolved a bit over the years. They are similar though. I do find it interesting the subtle changes that occurred over the years and wonder what may or may not have influenced those changes. It would be neat to have a Carter person around to explain the evolution of the various models.

So here is what mine looks like under the seat. Clearly there are parts missing on this.

Looking for suggestions on getting the cable secured to the throttle rod.
