Well set the engine in to make sure I had room, might have to slide it over a little cause the oil filter. The torque converter just shipped so hopefully shortly I will make some more progress. Should I paint it army style or wild and crazy. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1376525565.213905.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1376525585.662265.jpg

Id get some pics of army jeeps of the same body stile and copy it as close as you can. Give it a sick
nostalgic look. I think the large white star would look great on it and it ain't gota be perfect. Army paint won't that's for shure.

Nice little toys.. but they're always military style grey, green, mud, camouflage.. that's sooooo boring.

Oh wait: golden eagle that'd be killer :D

Sid your pic didn't load or I can't view it from phone, well any ways I got the clutch today and found the values if using a tape measure. I just looked at the end of crank shaft and thought that looks like an inch so that is the one I ordered and it it to small. I'm using an 18 HP kohler. Well story of my life, I think I'm just going to pull the crank and have it machined down just a little bit. That way it gives me an excuse to rebuild the engine too. Another question if I already have it apart is it worth it to remove the gov.

yepp, I just crosslinked the image;
fixed that ;)

Well, while you're at it... why not remove the governor.
Depends if you're happy with 3600 rpm or you want just a little extra ;)

I got the 40 series, and it's not a lot I have to turn down. But it's enough that a BFH won't help it go on.

Ok got crank out to get it machined, so I know that the pic is if the gov. But I have never removed one. Do I just pop it out and not put it back in? ImageUploadedByTapatalk1376955553.667186.jpg

Yep, simple as that...

The best way I found it to gentle tap the pin in, cut it down then tap it back into the hole. Being a tight fit it shouldn't move...
