Carter Brothers Shortster - Build & Restoration

This is my build thread dedicated to the Carter Brothers Shortster Mini Bike.

I picked this up a few weeks ago, and am now starting to restore it.

My first issue is that it is missing the seat, so I need to make one. Im doing my best here to get it going, but the frame is kinda wonky, and the plywood cannot sit flush.

Anyway, sit back and relax because when im done, this is going to be one amazing bike, or at least very unsafe.

Im going to be putting my predator "stage 4" engine that I just got bored out on there, so its going to rip. Already got the 30 series 7" driven unit and belt in for it, and seat will be fun to figure out.

My colors will probably be black and bright orange. Possibly with bright green. I just love those colors.

Carter Brothers Shortster Seat

The seat was a bit of a challenge. I couldnt get the back to look the way it does 'stock' but i think it turned out alright. The black, orange, and green will be what i eventually get the bike painted with.

Going to take it out riding tomorrow just to get a feel for it.
