Unfortunately Carter used their own 4 bolt pattern which was on a 3-3/32" bolt circle which no other manufacturer used. I had some on mine that were rusted beyond repair. I ran across some 2 piece steel rims with flat centers that I re-drilled to the Carter bolt circle pattern (about 45-deg off from the original holes using the original wheels as a pattern.

Your floor decal

Looks like to me that your decal on the floorboard may be in decent shape. Can you take a good photo of it as straight on as possible? I'm looking into having it reproduced for mine.

Thanks,
Jason

It can wait. I'm not in a huge hurry. Also if you can get some key dimensions too. I've found a few pics here and htere of decals still in halfway decent shape but one guy said he really needs the dimensions. I figure the more info and pics the better. Thanks!

I have merged all your threads. It is better if you ask all your questions regarding your kart in one thread. Then people know what you are working on and they don't have to jump around the forum to follow you

Actually by pure dumb luck I ran across a guy who salvaged them off a wrecked cart. Said that he gave the engine to a friend and saved the wheels thinking someone might want them someday. Turned out that person was me. He just gave them to me. He didn’t want any money for them.

Nd How Did You Go About Drilling The Holes In The Wheels .I Haven’t Had To Do Something Like That Before..How Did You Get The Right CutOuts

The center hole in the old a new wheels were the same size. I laid the old one on the new and traced the hole location onto the new wheel. After that I marked the center with a punch and drilled the new holes with a drill press. You could also take the wheels to a machine shop and they could probably do it if you don’t have the tools or feel comfortable doing it. Because Carter used an uncommon bolt circle there are no new off the shelf wheels that will bolt right on.

That has to be one of the best condition decals that I’ve found to date. I certainly hope that you decide to preserve it or have it reproduced in some way. If you did I suspect myself and a few other Carter owners would spring for one. Can you get some dimensions?

If you want to preserve the decal Id suggest getting some liquid mask from a model car paint supply or hobby shop. Hobby Lobby may even carry it

SlowKart,
I'm reaching out to a sign shop here in the Birmingham AL area who I believe can reproduce it. If you don't mind, I'll borrow your photo and post it on the forum to see who else might be interested. Perhaps there are other owners who would want some as well.
