Carburetor Fuel Inlet Nipple

Does anyone know how to remove fuel inlet nipple without destroying nipple or carburetor? Seems to be a press fit. Thanx.

Man, I wish I could help you there. I could think of using some really good locking pliers while holding the carb in a vise, with cardboard or something on the sides so it doesn't damage it and trying to twist it off, but it might damage the inlet some . I got these really good locking pliers at costco that automatically adjust themselves to what you're holding, they're called like alligator grips or something.

its screwed in isnt it or is it pushed in with a o-ring seal

No threads, no seal. Press fit.

Well if you remove it and it's press fit then you can't get a good seal when you re -assemble it. I have a briggs carb and it has a rotatable plastic inlet and mine comes off.

Getting it to seal will not be a problem.

why do ou want to take it off? you dont need to take it off the clean it.

Carb is new. Wrong angle and have swivel replacement.
