How long is your pitman arm? And is your pitman arm a two hole or one hole setup?

When I built my bar stool I had to much weight on the back axle along with the pitman arm being not being long enough. The short pitman arm was letting the tie rods role with the steering shaft and not pushing the tie rods. You may have to make a side by side holes in your pitman arm to connect your tie rods side by side and not in the same hole. This making a better turning angle.

Post a pic of your pitman arm and the angle your tie rods run.

Also put some weight on the front and see if it rides better.

All that being said I screwed up my first steering set up. So take what I am saying with a grain of salt. I had the same problem so I just wanted to tell you my fix for it.
