I built up a Predator with my kids, with all new parts (flywheel, connecting rod, piston etc). At this point I have to check every bolt after every run because everything keeps loosening. I even used Locktight this past time and the bolts still loosened. Have other run into this? What's the best way to address?

If I had to guess, I'd say it may be because I've used an impact driver and now everything's a bit stretched or something? I don't know. That seems a bit unlikely but it's the best I've got.
Maybe I need to bore each out to the next size bolt?

Never been an issue, whenever I build a motor I care about, everything is tightened by hand or torque wrench so you can feel what the fastener is telling you.

I think you have an imbalance of sorts, when its running, does it hurt to keep your hand on it?

Never had this issue, but then again, I torque to spec with a torque wrench.

If i were you, i would clean up the threads with brake cleaner or something to get rid of the oil, the put on more loc-tite, then wait the correct amount of time for it to cure/set to full strength.

You might have other issues going on if its the sidecover "leaking" oil (not enough crankcase venting).

Check the internet and look for harbor freight torque wrench coupons. Then start over.

They are surprisingly decent and you can even calibrate them yourself with a little effort.

The threads on the bolt and the bolt hole need to be super clean and free of any oil or residue for loctite to work like it should. There’s an orange high vibration loctite that I like a lot. You can get activator too, and that guarantees that it sets the way that it should.

That's it I bet.
I just put it directly on without thinking about the oil them.
Thanks.
I'll hit the bolts and holes with cleaner. May try to look for that high vibration type as well.
