Harbor Freight doesn't sell the 99 CC and I can't find any on FleaBay aka Ebay/Amazon. Is this engine becoming rare?!

Just because you cant find any doesnt mean the price will increase. Could be they are just crap
That's exactly what it means. If you researched like I have you would see these are Not crap. They are very sought after in other forums. Supply and demand. The demand is high but the supply is low. So price sky rockets. L2Market

Ebay completed and sold listings will be your best indicator.

There are plenty of Chinese discontinued engines that are worth nothing. Having a mass produced engine that has been discontinued doesn't increase demand especially since there are other options out there to fulfill the need for a small engine.

Just to prove the point I just looked up sold listings and a predator 99cc engine just sold for $20. Congratulations.

Links or it didn't happen. It's a Predator not just any Chinese motor...lol It's worth what someone will pay for it. And to prove MY point. I'm going to sell it for over 200.

LoL! Cracked head and who knows what else.

I have a carbed, springs with port/polish,curved manifold, Milled head,MSD ignition,8degree advanced, custom exhaust and high flow air cleaner 99cc Predator on 93 octane. You can see the difference.

Okay, but what you asked about and what you're trying to sell are 2 different animals......
I have a brand new 212 still in box, how much you think I can get for it? Blah blah blah blah blah..... O did I mention that it is poked, stroked, gutted, got this got that ect...... A stock 212? $100.... A built to the hilt 212, ??????? Definitely a lot more $$$$$$$ supply and demand has no factor in this equation. I can still get the 99cc off the shelf here. So should I buy them all and flood the "market" with hopped up 99'ers? You're basically saying it's a sellers market, right? Well then I want some of that action. I'll go buy 6 after work and turn them into fire breathing dragons. Then I'll dump them on ebay......

No Stroke. I spent nothing. I fabbed everything. The exhaust and manifold I have plenty scrap tubing. The rest came about the same way. I spent less than $60 total each, not including labor but really it's elementary. You go ahead and spend and flood like a troll lol.

Chill out. Don't ask an ambiguous/leading question and expect a realistic answer that will conform to your expectations. Additionally, please don't ask a question that you are already cocked and loaded to shut down any answer to.

If you want to educate yourself by all means ask questions. Some of us get it wrong. But we have gotten stuff wrong about your engine's worth because you supplied inadequate information about your question, then told us off with the answer you already knew. So this begs the question, why ask?

Just sit back and relax, there's no armchair professors or keyboard soldiers picking fights here. If you don't want to listen to an opinion on the value of something, then please don't ask the **** question.

If you want to know why you are getting so defensive and full of yourself, read this:

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cognitive_dissonance

Keep in mind that we are all here to DISCUSS, not put down or argue. The old minibike forum has specifically banned "what is this worth" questions just to avoid all this bs. By no means am I suggesting that it happen here, only respect the opinions of others.

I challenge you to sell it for $200; by all means prove it to yourself! When it's all said and done, you could be sitting pretty with the $$ because value is completely subjective to what people are willing to pay, just like you said.

 Now you gotta back up what you said. Take a pic of the cash "or it didn't happen"

What ever happened to your aspirations to put this on a mini drifter trike? I think (stresses this is MY opinion) you could get more for the engine as a package deal on a mini trike, than by itself.

It's just a little wussy 4 stroke engine. http://youtu.be/Pp3j1jWCJxg

Wow and to think i actually wasted my time looking up this engine and its value.
I could send you one you can just ask. The guy had Pallets. Pay for the motor and shipping just add $10 for my trouble. ¥200,000,000 total.
