can i get rid of the clutch? ?

if i have 6.5 hp engine and i want to install it on a go kart can i attach it directly to the axle without clutch? ??and why ???

Sounds like what you want is a direct drive sprocket.
Kart would have to be "push started" and will stall if a minimum speed is not maintained.
This kind of set-up is great for experimentation and some racing applications, but can become a real pain in the butt after a while. You will end up putting the clutch back on.

me too..

being unable to stop a kart without killing the engine is a HUUUUGE PITA,
other than for a few racing series where that's mandatory.. no one would want that really.

I have such monstrosity and I really wish I could just add a clutch and have a bit of off-race-track fun with it.
