Can any one help me

Im build capable . Not computer literate its taken almost 2 hrs to get this post set and to register my account ..... i have a manco duce with 12 hp motor on it it skips in to neutral . Due to no redy available parts i was figuring on replace the entire axle . Any help on parts source , pn# for over haul kit or good ideas on economical replacement axle? I'm in the North part of Indiana South Bend

the Manco Deuce is just a model name, we need the model number to find out.

it's either a 612-00 ( or 01) or a 612-02, the former has a Comex transaxle, the latter a Dana

where you can ask for nearly any Comex part.

if it jumps into neutral it's mainly one of two things:
1) the actuator cable is too tight
which is an easy fix, just adjust the cable tension and make sure the 'control arm' on the gearbox clicks into place.

2) the gears are worn out
you will need a replacement of course... see above for parts and partnumbers.
which one you'll need can only be found out by disassembling the transaxle and referring to the manual I'm afraid

Manco transaxle

You most likely have a comex. The Dana is a little stronger and is usually found on the 18hp honda. Either way, check your cable ends for looseness. Disconnect cable at trans. Manually place in neutral, in the middle of the detents. Place shift lever excactly in neutral. Adjust threaded cable end so that pin goes back in directly. On worn transaxles, with sloppy cables and detents, It may be necessary to grind the shift bracket at shift lever deeper, so the lever itself isn't stopping the cable short.
