Can a weed eater engine be put on a pocket bike?

Can you put a regular weedeater engine on a pocket bike? My pocket bike has a 49 cc engine it is stock and i dont know what kind it is. Please help me.

You can put anything on anything but performance will suffer by more than just a little bit. Weedeaters or weedwhackers are low performance engines. New pocket bike engines go for around $80 on ebay and are twice (at least) as powerful as the weedies and well worth the cost. The pb engine I have is 47cc and is made in China. It just blows away trimmer engines.

Yeah the weed whackers are not performace engines. More for spining than torque.

what about these small and 3-4 hp would be pretty big power I'd think compared to a 49cc motor...

but there max power is at 3600 RPM's they are not made to rev like the others.

i put my bike on a dyno got 13 rear wheel bhp its a 50cc bored out to an 80cc

Hey post a picture up of you bike would like to see how that motor looks on the pocket rocket frame.
Were you able to use the same chain setup?
