IIRC, Chric (Doc Sprocket) plays (or used to) in a band, I play guitar (poorly) & I'm sure there are others...

So, what exactly are you asking?

Well....Just wondering how many closet musicians may be hanging around ......I play a bit of lead guitar. ....don't have an impressive amount of equipment. ...but it works for me.......I'm deep down a blues man...but I do some older rock stuff...but mainly. ..I do my own thing....and I can play anything when the mood strikes....and my favourite thing is just jamming and sitting in with good musicians. .....

I've only been playing for about 40 years.....so I'm still learning. .....:2guns::thumbsup:

I play guitar almost everyday.
My favorite axe is my American Fender Deluxe Telecaster.
She can rock and roll and twang country music all day.
I use a 65 Fender reissue tube reverb amp and boss pedals.
I like to play some Lynyrd Skynyrd,Jimi Hendrix,Creedence,
Steve Winwood,Merle Haggard,Johnny Cash,Marshall Tucker Band,and many others along with some of my own tunes I have made up.
I love to play in my garage with the amp cranked up!

Hmm... more of a hack than a 'player', but I have fun with it. I've built a lot of tube amps too.

Uh oh.
Ok, I admit it. Five years in a rock/blues band. Thought I'd recover, but never fully did. Just bought a Presonus audiobox to record some original material, but haven't found the time to set it up yet. Whoever said retirement would free up lots of spare time was full of :censored:. But I did get myself some new gear as a reward for living to retirement age.

Guitarist for about 20 years, was playing piano and other things at least 10 years before that...second generation musician. My Dad also played guitar, put himself through college in the late 1960s playing in cover bands at dances and stuff.

I've got several guitars, each a little different than the others. I do tend to replace every bridge humbucker with a Bill Lawrence L500XL (Wilde Pickups brand) because I grew up a big Pantera fan and it just works for my playing style. My last guitar purchased is an Epiphone Explorer, and my first, by way of Dad, is a Les Paul made by The Heritage. I also have a "boom stick" which is a Les Paul style baritone (tuned B to B) made by Agile - it's about 9 pounds phew!

Music is a lifelong passion. I've done my best to keep with the hobby and keep my chops up to speed (roots in blues, rock, metal / shred, and jazz) but sometimes go almost a week without touching a guitar. Quite a few songs are for sale on iTunes, Amazon, or other places if you're interested.

I gave up video games so I could focus on music, and I've tried to find hobbies that won't take me too far away from music overall. Recently tried golf and fishing and some treasure hunting, but really like the idea of getting started with my dream project of a go-kart. I'm really hoping the skill with music / hand-eye coordination will be useful in welding...time will tell...
