I am working on several go karts for the church. On our 3170 Manco Robin Subaru I can not understand where the return spring from the carburetor throttle lever connects. I saw all the pictures that someone furnished on your site but I still can not see where on the block it ends up. Everything was hooked up when I took it apart so I am not missing any parts. I would appreciate any help I can get.

Thank you

Im assuming your motor is a clone... and your possibly speaking of the governor spring... If so, this may help... Watch it in 720P for detailed view...

Just in case anyone else missed it, the engine in question is a Robin Subaru

... so it's not a clone... I googled the motor and it 'looks' like a clone... I dont know... never owned one... remember Im the 'Honda' lover!:lolgoku:

Thank you. I will try to explain better. I could send a picture if you can tell me how to attach the picture.
On my 3170 Manco with a 6. Robin Subaru engine and I think a Miicuni(?) carb. I do not see anywhere on the block or gas tank or ? to attached the carburetor idle return spring. This is the lighter of the two springs. I could just make a bracket and attach it but I am concerned about the tension off setting the governor spring.

Now that I am looking at your great pictures closer I see that what I am asking is: Where do I attach the other end of the butterfly spring?? I took this apart and did not remove any brackets. It doesn't seem possible that the butterfly spring would attach to the governor arm because it would just pull it the wrong way. I have the gas tank off and have a clear view but just cannot see what is probable obvious.
