nope, but a suggestion. you should get a imow front axle or acme front axle. the front ends on these are total crap.. definately not good for higher then normal speeds. also you should get disk brakes on this. the stock brakes on this are complete crap also. they wont stop my mower, i had to make a shifter out of pretty thick steel, to be able to downshift so i could stop myself lol. my brakes = reverse :D makes for a fun ride everytime lol.

I started "this gocart idea" with the intent on a Lawn Mower Racer.

snagged up a 12hp murray with 5 speed "between the legs shift"

then got a 18hp twin, was gonna swap on to it.. looked at pulley setup to acheive 45mph.. 18" rear tires.. that project is on the back burner to the GOCARTS for now..

I am going to do a gocart axle with a RAGB (right angle gear box) gear the RAGB 1:1 so I wont have a tranny.. IMOW axle. golf cart rims all around.. that would include hubs on 4 corners.. snow mobile brake setup.

but I am lookin for a better frame, the murray is stamped and its not a walk through style ..

anyways.. good luck with build!!!

and your right about heymow LOL

I love these racing tractor builds! Maybe I'll put mine up some day... I joined heymow but they all had a stick up their butt and won't help if you're buildin a backyard basher, cool stuff though.

Good luck

well MOAR PROGGRESS!!!!!! I figured out a way to mount the transaxle in the rear without having to make a bracket and this way i did it acctualy strenghtens it and reduces flex. also i had a little bit of a change in the design not putting the seat in between the fenders but usin the origional body work for it.

Dam, thats low, but it looks like the front end might have some clearance issues (hood is wayy to close to them tires).

well the tires arent inflated and dont hold air and i need to do some more spindle mods anyway so they might be extended outward a little more.

That's neat that if you can get it to sit that low but you will need to get those tires out quite a bit further so you can actually steer that thing. Have you considered widening the rear end? If you have any access to machine tools you should find a way to extend those rear axels then it would look proportional all around.

I am jealous of all of you. I had the perfect workshop for all of my tinkering years ago and now I am in an apartment with no garage. I have use of a garage but its 25 miles away.

What a drag

oh yeah does anyone know if a single hydrolic disk brake would work on the axle cause its one of them limited slip ones i just wana make sure im not gona get one brake and try to stop and then only one side stops lol.

Its not limited slip. So if you didn't weld the diff, than you would only have a 1 wheel brake unless you used a brake on each side (expensive).
