Good luck to you sir, and above and beyond anything else- have fun!
Sure will!
I was wondering about you. Your junk pile make me jelous. LOL

Heh... it is a nice little pile init? :D

So anyways... Its difficult to weld with a non function welder init? Need to get a fan back inside it, and ofcourse some paint.

{EDIT} And I totally figured out how to add pictures. Oh yeah.

Indeed, It had the misfortune to have been sitting outside for years. My dad got this welder when he was in highschool.

I had said to my dad "lets try to get this thing to work" he said something about how it wouldnt because of it being outside. So one day I dragged it out if the weeds and then at some point while I was at youth he fiddled with it and put some welds on a rotor. It works. Hooraw. :D

Didnt get much done tnite in the way of buildoff...

However I got the new brake lever on my minibike. That should help keep me safe... right? :roflol:

I used a piece of copper pipe to make a space so it would fit. Still not 100% happy, I want to flare the ends of the copper so it dont move out of position.

Also took the head off an old 6hp briggs flatty... Looked better than I thought it would. I would like to have it running someday.Notice how on the exhaust side of the head its lower? Whats up with that?

Frame...

So were scrapping this big ole van... it has some supports you would hang on to in it. there is 5 that are the same, as you can see, they are pre-bent...

And there I was wondering when I would get some metal for a frame.

Looks like a nice start do you know what your going to make yet??

Not really... kinda depends on what parts I can find for stuff.
Even still, If we dont get the welder working, I aint building anything! :ack2:

Theres still more metal in that van I want to get out, I think there may be enough for a simple frame.

So my brother suggests to look up on lincoln website for the fan motor we need for the welder... Ok sure, so I emailed them... response was fast, part cost $76.06. :ack2:

welder

Hey $70 for a fan is alot of money... Dont mean to sound mean or what ever but your welder does not look up to much... I would say to look on kijiji or craigs list for another Lincoln Arc welder... These welders are a dime a dozen I bought a Lincoln mig And i paid $140 but i did my share of low balling lol Good luck with the kart

^^Its all good. We might actually be able to "rig" something up for the thing.
It still works, so I think its worth saving.
So long as it works, it can be ugly as swill. :D
