Ok i recently came across an old 3 wheeler motor and transmission and want to make my first go kart, making the chassis and such shouldnt be a problem, however i dont have much of an idea on the plans for the chassis, so if anyone has plans, a thread, or drawings of your custom gokarts theyd be willing to sharr with me thatd be great. Thanks.

Off road and no suspension? That'll be rough. No suspension rarely equates to "pretty high skill level", IMO. Then of course, it's all relative...in WV.

If you havent already, take a good, long look through these forums. There are plenty of good design examples that will inspire you, and I'm sure our membership will be happy to answer your questions and provide key dimensions and design elements.

I find that when scratchbuilding things around key existing parts, it's helpful to gather all the part up and lay them out on the garage floor. From there, you can get a feel for layout and dimensions.
