Hey guys,

I am in the process of building a streaker go kart.

It looks pretty good.

This is the type:

I am missing a hub.

How do I figure out where the cheapest place to buy a hub is?

Trying to find a hub for this streaker kart.

Thanks,

We could be of more help but you need to tell us what variety of hub do you need, like is it for the front wheel, rear wheel, sprocket, rotor or steering wheel?

You'll also need to post:

1: the exact bolt-circle patern size,

2: plus the number of bolts, studs or bolt holes,

3: plus the center-hole bore size:

4: & the depth of bore of the hub you need.

This pic shows how to measure the bolt-circle patern of a hub:

It is a 4 stud hub and I eyeballed the spacing with a pair of calipers and I got 2.080” spacing (roughly) I will measure the bore size in the center. Also it is a front wheel on a streaker go kart.

The hub looks tapered with a bearing on one side. I measured the shaft side of the spindle that goes into the hub and I get 0.620”.

2.94112” pcd

Hub depth = 3.148”
Studs in hub = 4
Stud spacing (S distance in picture) = 2.080” rough
PCD = 2.94112”
Go Kart spindle size = 0.620”
Hub total OD = 3.5” on one side and 0.750” on the other side.

Still looking. Anyone have any advice on finding this hub? I have tried googling "streaker go kart hub" with no luck.

I would say if you have the tire that fits where it suppose to, and if you can find a sprocket that is the same axle diameter bore, I would see if I could cut it out of the sprocket.
If you can cut off the excess on the outer edge down to a needed diameter for it could be used to create a hub for the wheel.

Do you have more pics of the axle area and the wheel of you kart?...

Direct upload not the image sites...

Still not sure if you need a metric dimension hub or not, but I was thinking this hub might work out for ya:
https://www.bmikarts.com/Galvanized...2-1316-Circle-Includes-58-Bearing_p_1652.html

It has a four on 2-13/16" Bolt-circle patern. That's measuring center to center, across 2 opposing studs. Not 2 studs next to each other...

Seems to have a shorter Depth than your old hub, but you could probably just use a stack of 5/8" flat washers to shim/compensate for that.
