#1. Chassis!
Which ones are best? I want to get into this sport competitively and everywhere I've read says you want a brand new one with all the bells and whistles if you go that route. So, is there any best one, or do they all have up's and down's and their own little quirks.
I was looking at a few chassis makers earlier, and I quite liked the look of the ones made by Arrow, Tony Kart, and CRG. Also, how do I know which one is made for someone similarly proportioned to me? I'm 16 years old and 5'9 or 5'10. (I'm a bit strapped for cash at the moment, but I'm starting to get odd jobs around the house and selling stuff on craigslist).
List of Chassis Maker websites I was interested in:
http://www.arrowkarts.com/
http://www.tonykart.com/homepage_en.php

#2. Getting competitive!
I would like to get competitive in the sport. It's my dream to be a Formula 1 race-car driver one day, and I realize it is far-fetched and extraordinarily hard. Even if that doesn't work, I'd still like to do this because of how much fun it is. I've driven a few go-karts in Vegas that topped out at about 55-60 mph. Anyways, what are the big events in this sport and such. Is there like a organization which governs the whole sport of kart racing and such?
#3. Earlier I said it was my dream to make it to Formula 1, well Formula 1 is largely based in Europe. Would I have to do a lot of kart racing over in Europe to get noticed if I ever became good enough?
Also, thank you all for the warm welcome on my "Introduce yourself thread"! Glad to see a friendly community. Any help about this would be appreciated, so thank you.
