What's it do?

I have a simple kill switch hooked up, but I'm curious as to what the purpose of this is.

I have a kill switch on the steering wheel, so I guess the connection down thar is redundant.

Thanks!

The line leading down to that post runs to the powerpack on the engines and allows the kart to be turned off from the switch you have on your steering wheel. There is no redundancy, this is simply a quick connect point.

I meant it would be redundant for me now that I've gone through the trouble of hooking up a kill switch directly at the magneto.

It runs decent, but when it gets down to 1/2 a tank of gas it runs out. When I fill it, it runs perfectly.

what u mean by this
do u mean it is only drawing fuel from the top half of the tank

Yeah. It's a brand new carb. As it draws down the fuel, it starts to show signs of leaning out (hesitates, gets to a point where you have to choke it to keep it running). When it gets to half tank, it won't run at all any more (no fuel getting to the combustion chamber).

With a completely full tank, it runs exactly as it should. It's a little frustrating, though, to have to keep topping it off.

is there a pickup line that u can extend further down into the tank
or check for holes in the pickup line as if there is a hole at the upper half of the line then the fuel can only be drawn up from that hole and above

I'll have to look at the pickup tube that came with the new carb to see if maybe it's shorter than the other one, and to make sure it goes all the way down in the tank.
