briggs engine mount broke? cheap fix?

my briggs and stratton engine mount broke on me the holes didnt just strip out they just fell apart the metal looked very worn and old and i need a fix either new mount or a way to fix it, would consider trading with cash for another engine

If you mean it cracked, I jb welded mine up yesterday.
If it has got bigger, can you not just use bigger bolts, or make a sleeve to go in the holes?

no like where the bolts go in the holes the walls where the threds are just wilterd away and cracked into tons of pieces

i got a tecumseh 10hp vertical in my tractor that stripped and broke the mounting bolts, no wonder it used to torque the motor mounts back and forth so much, i used some bolts WITH nuts on them and the engine is completely solidly mounted. no movement.

i dont even get why companies bother to tap those holes (lol) they only strip out.

I used to take a chain to big block fords when I broke the engine mounts from all the torque... maybe you can chain it?
In all seriousness, post some pics so the guys can see what they are looking at. Much easier to see what your dealing with.

If I understand your description correctly- The mount holes in the block itself are stripped, correct?

If that is indeed the case, purchase longer bolts, and either lock nuts or lock washers and plain nuts. Run the bolts right through to the other side. (This is assuming they are "through" holes.
