briggs carb switch

hi guys i have a 5hp briggs with a comet 20.the comet 20 was on with one bolt due to the carb n fuel tank hanging low so i removed that setup.i made a intake so i can put on a predator 212 carb on it i got it on the motor.but when i start it i see its flows out gas in the center of the carb.it runs for about 10 seconds and shuts off. can any one tell me why it flowes fuel out the carb?
its a new carb.

There is a lot of variables that could cause this. Post pics of what you got and how it is set up......

Well, for one, the 2 small venturi are covered up, at the carb inlet. Also, it looks like the carb is tilted down a hair. That could be letting the float stay open, allowing too much fuel in. It would choke the engine and die. And then, what type fuel pump are you using? If it's electric, that's your biggest problem.... It need to be a pulse activated pump..... It draws fuel as it needs it. And electric pump will just keep feeding and feeding the carb....

Are you using a fuel pump?

ok the angle i iin it my mini bike has a taller wheel in the rear.the hole in front of the carb has a metal gasket that has a gap for the hole to breath. in not running a fuel pump i didnt think i needed one. my predator dont have one

Air must flow directly into those venturi for the carb to work properly....

Oh i see i guess I gotta remake the intake manifold i built it according to the gaskets.
I see holes but the gasket covered them

Stock /correct gasket should not have covered them.... They are vital to function....

Uhhh, the filter thing you got there.... Is that for a briggs engine or a predator? There is a huge difference, my friend.....

the filter thing was put on after i made it for the predator gaskets n carb not the briggs

Fixed it thanks guys.
I put a lil glue on the gasket and it blocked the vent hole.

Where do i check for temperature on a Briggs what is a good temperature to run it at help please ?
