If by screw you mean bolt then typically 5/16" bolt by fine or 24 thread. Length depends on the spacing you use on the clutch for alignment.

you might be interested in getting a zerk fitting bolt (like $7) and drilling a hole in the keyway down to the threads. Then you dont need to lube the clutch with oil, you just pump a shot of grease in their every few hours as needed. http://www.gokartsupply.com/clutches.htm about a 3rd of the way down this page. Great mod

Np man, I die a little inside everytime someone asks me for a screw meaning a bolt (or even a nut), a string meaning a rope, a star meaning a sprocket, change meaning a chain, etc.

You do know grease holds in dirt which is why MaxTorque as a company suggests motor oil. Grease seems like a great idea but oil does work better on these clutches.

Then why does max torque manufacture the part and sell it in stores with the part? i purchased this clutch a yr ago for my kart and payed $60 out the door. I never got it to work correctly since i didst realize i should drill a hole in the crank lol

Solomon, I'll scan the sheet Max-Torque has given this situation. You'll enjoy the read.

Whenever possible I advocate oil, people tend to go overboard with grease.

I'm not saying the fitting/drilling does not have a purpose, the majority of consumers in this industry fail to use any sort of lubrication. Grease does last longer, but is not as good for the clutches as it does hold in dirt which explains the sheet we have and give to customers given suggested lubrication which is published by MaxTorque.

I fully understand and have read what that site says, I'm telling you what we suggest given what we've seen. There is nothing wrong with the zerk, its great for most people who would never oil their clutch in the first place, but I do not consider it an upgrade.

i think the fitting works with all clutches, but I do agree with Blazkowiez now, and i think oil is going to be best in this situation. I haven't even had 30 minutes on my clutch yet haha not even 20 minutes, haha, so no oil yet
