Looks like it, bad picture though. You should warm the kart up for about 30 seconds to a minute at most usually

Two to three drops of regular motor oil every 2 hours of use. Small four stroke karts idling under 1900 rpm need 2-4 min typically to warm up.

Hope that helps.

i never needed to warm up, it was always, choke, pull, choke off, ride. I had a good engine and raptor 3 carb on that kart.... I miss that thing sometimes.

Warm weather has a lot to do with that, also contributing could be a primer bulb on some karts instead of a choke, you can warm karts up quicker by playing with the butterfly. And most of us when comfortable with the kart can hop in and ride around by feathering the throttle at first so it wont die out, that warms the engine up.

this is my clutch, i tried braking while it was going and it didn't even stall but it started to go when i had it on the ground and i had to keep playing with the throttle to keep it going and once it did die on me i could hear the clutch and it sounded like a frying pan like it was sizzling and it was smoking a little. so if it wasn't ruined it probably is now. also when its on the jack stands and i start it are the wheels supposed to start spinning right away or not?

wheels spin on jack stand immediately depending on idle. While on jack stands with the motor off can you turn a wheel smoothly or rough? Sounds like your clutch is worn but also sounds like mixture is off. Turn the screw in a 1/8 a turn at a time, see if it helps

looks like a Max Torque 3/4" #40/41. any 3/4" bore clutch should work with #40/41 sprocket

Yeah, its a 10/34 clutch, 10 tooth 3/4" bore, any hillard, comet, max torque, or noram.. tons of brands out there that'll work.

That'll work, those clutches are designed to ride 40, 41, or 420 chain without a problem. The thing that really matters when shopping is the tooth count. Thats a good price too.

Before ordering a clutch perhaps you should disassemble it first? Maybe it just needs a through cleaning.

They are simple to take apart. That one looks like a SS type clutch.

the wheel spun freely on the jackstands and i am currently waiting to get a chain breaker/chain tool as i do not have one. then i can take the clutch off and check it out.

is there a "best" type of oil to oil the clutch with? i have been oiling it now and every time i oil it it seems like it runs longer and has more power. so im still probably going to buy a new clutch but i am also going to see if i can clean the one i currently have.
