Briggs 3HP throttle linkage

hey. i have a briggs & stratton 3hp horizontal engine that i removed from a reel mower. i want to use it to put on a go kart but i dont know how to attach the throttle cable to it. any help would be appreciated.

Did mower have speed control cable? If so, use that same connection for gokart throttle control. May need a return spring.

put a bike brake cable through one of those holes in the governer linkage. Put then end with the bulb bit on the end through so the cable cant pull out. Then get some cable shielding and theres a screw with a washer near where u put ur air filter on, u can clamp a brake line sheilding in there so it will stay in there. Then zip tie the other end of the sheilding to ur frame and run ur cable to ur pedal.

Neither, put it through the one i pointed at in the picture.

If u dont want the governor then look at that pic u just took, see the hole that wire is in, take that wire out and put ur throttle cable into that hole.
