If you reference the picture I posted on the first page of the rod assembly, the rod is built a little different. There's not much there to drill through.

Ahh. I see what you mean. I think that notch is supposed to do the same thing. Maybe work that a little to get some more oil in there.

Here in a week or so after I get the wiring redone in my workshop and get my go kart and fourwheeler parked elsewhere than in the middle of the shop I'll throw a coil on the engine to see if it runs before pulling it apart. If it runs good I'll tear it down to nothing but a pile of parts and start with the stuff that costs me nothing. Does anyone know if advancing the cam timing one notch would wake it up a little?
