Briggs 190 6hp motor (Clutch question)

Hello everone i'm new to the forum but not to gokarts after 6 years of my go kart sitting i finally started to get it back to shape all repainted and new motor will post pics after its done ok back to the question i got a briggs 190 6hp i want to get a comet 40 Series will this work i know its 8hp to 13hp but i'm getting a 13 hp motor 5 months down the road don't want to get stuck buying 2 diff torque converters....

Your Briggs 6hp. would need a 3/4" bore converter to match the 3/4' diameter of its output shaft.
13 hp. engines have a 1" output shaft. The Tav-2 info you posted above is a 1" bore model so it would fit the 13hp. but not your 6hp.

thats what i thought dang that means i will be wasting money o well i will just have a backup motor and converter for my gokart when i get my 13 hp motor

Other quick question kinda stupid but how fast would my gokart go with a 6hp motor i weight around 220

Speed is a function of the relationship between the sprockets, diameters of the tires and maximum RPM of the engine.

Most gokarts with these engines have a top speed of around 50-65 kilometers per hour.

Eh, you might get up to 30mph if you sacrifice some torque.

Alright thanks guys 30 mph is good enought for me i will post pictures once its all done ordering the converter tomorrow
