Briggs 16hp V Twin info

Hey guys I have been looking for a better engine for my yerf dog 3203, to replace the 6.5 Tecumseh, I got a Briggs and Stratton 16 hp vanguard v twin today for $150.00. All looks good on it I might need new magnetos and a starter and a new 1" comet clutch.

I was reading and was thinking of some basic upgrades, I'm thinking flywheel connecting rods carb/ maybe dual carbs?

My question has anyone used this motor? If so what mods?

Why not stock it already has 16hp,its going to be really really expensive to buy performance parts for this motor

Wow.... You mean... you stole it for a $150.... Very excellent find. It's worth at least a 1k.
Now that you saved a tonne of cash on the motor, you can put that towards the TC/cvt you'll need cause it has the big shaft.
Custom exhaust and air filter setup is all about I'd add. It already has a ton of power, don't need to really mod it.
