:wai: Was instructed from highly respected race engine builder of B&$ to break them in like your going to run them. That engine will turn 5k or better in its stock form. You would be better off running a racing oil Cool-Power or Red Z/B&S racing oil. Racing oil has anti-foaming agents. HD 30W is fine if your not going to turn over 3600K.

You need to know if your engine is jetted for gas or methanol fuel. All you need to do is mount the engine solidly and crank it up. set the idle speed fast, like about 1200 rpm. Let it run a few minutes and shut it down for a complete cool. Then repeat. Each time run it a little longer untill you have about an hour on it. Change out the oil about half way through.
If its jetted for methanol dont run it on gas, it will be too rich, change the jet. Petroleum oil and methanol dont get along well, if you run it on methanol use a good kart racing oil, synthetic, castor base oil.
