Brakes

Hey everyone,

I plan on converting my mechanical brakes to hydraulic brakes. After looking at mcp calipers and master cylinders I noticed that they offer both single and double line caliper and master cylinders.

Is there a disadvantage to one as opposed to the other.

Would a double master cylinder allow me to mount two calipers or does the double work for one caliper. Not sure how these systems differ or hook up to each other.

They service additional calipers so you can add brakes to the front end. If you look at disk brake kits on go-kart parts sites you can see how some of them set up.

I think some are 2 piston hence the 2 lines in...
That is in a single rotor application.. ...

I think a major advantage of having 2 pistons and 2 lines is adjustability. You can have more braking in the front and less in the rear or vise versa.
