1. Manco (at least there is a manco fox II ..)
2. the Manco Fox II originally had no front brakes AFAIK
3. Show us a picture of your brakes and we can try to identify them

A Manco FoxII (see no front brakes)

ok, this was behind the sproket, i believe that is the brake ....
and in the second picture shows the other side of the chain, looks as if i could take the tire off, without removing the chain because of those bolts holding brake on, going thru the sproket

Dammdrew-
Don't even think about trying to remove the brake drum on the kart. It was a PITA to reassemble those bolts with the wheel off the kart.Just loosen the motor bolts and slide the motor to get slack and remove the chain. Take the big bolt off the spindle and remove the entire assembly. Trust me on this.

Oh-and I'm not sure if they were distributors or what-but Masters in Motion is always associated withManco Fox 2's.

That is the rear brake? I thought we were talking about front brakes(as in the front wheel having separate individual disc/drum/bands?).

The clutch and rear sprockets MUST be aligned properly, otherwise you are going to have constant problems

I thought that at first glance too, but look at the chainguard plate. It doesn't look bent and is parallel to the brake drum. So I'm thinking either a severely worn clutch, a picture distortion or (hopefully not) bent crankshaft.

The clutch may be bent up a little, probably just an illusion though. To me it looks like the sprocket is just too far the left.

Good ole alignment issues... The clutch 'may' not be out far enough on the shaft(it appears to me its right up against the motor). Loosen end bolt on clutch hub, and the 2 lil allen bolts on otherside of clutch holding assembly to shaft. Slide whole assembly(clutch), away from motor until chain linesup straight. Tighten 2 lil clutch retaining allen bolts/screws, slug end bolt... DO NOT CRANK DOWN... just 'snug' inertia will hold it in place as long as u tighened the 2 allen bolts/screws TIGHT! From there its just a matter of tightening the chains slack. Loosen 4 bolts under motor, slide motor to front of kart(imo, leave just 'alil' play in chain...'maybe' 1/4in-1/2in.). If u slide it all the way up n still loose... you may need to shorten the chain.

Asfar as the brakes, if ur notta 'online' shopper... U can probly get wut ur needing, 4inch band for band-brakes, from ur 'local' lawn n garden tool supplier. Not like home depot or Lowes... We have alil mom n pops shop here that sells high end lawn equiptment/parts... evidently karts n some mowers have simular interchangable parts. N probly more knowledge of 'local' distibutors, if they dont carry.

This is just my observational opinion. Facts may vary from what Ive stated... but it IS just an opinionated hobby...

...1 mans trash...
