Does anyone have any experience with the bp 2 cam I have a 36 main jet and 4 degree timing key stock appearing carb 26lbs springs 0.030 shims I had a bolt loose on the side cover and leaking oil. I replaced the side cover and head bolts with 12.9 grade bolts then top speed went from 54mph to 39mph i never keep a consistent top speed would a blown gasket cause this? Any tuning tips would be appreciated.

Maybe your new side cover gasket was thinner and is making the crank bind?
The bp 2 cam is meant to be prety good, but really harsh on a stock valve train. I have heard isky's black manna Jr is meant to be pretty good.
