A daughter 'n dad team.
Here is a quick overview of my first project.
My over all goal:
Able to go up dirt logging roads at a top speed of 25 mph or 35 miles per hour on the flats giver or take.
My Specs so far:
Engine: 13 HP Predator (420cc) OHV Horizontal Shaft Gas Engine
Driver Clutch: Comet 40 Series Driver Clutch / 1" BORE
Wheels: Honda c90 knock offs (something like this)
Jackshaft: Don't know which would be best, yet.
Gear Ratio: 7:1???
Overall weight: Cart + two passengers (350 lbs) = No idea what total weight will be.
We have been saving our penny's and finally reached the point that we can afford the Torque Converters (clutch).
I have questions before we make the big purchase and haven't been able to find the answers
Why do Driven clutches have different bores?
I'm looking at a Symmetrical Driven Pulley (7-37/64" Outer Diameter).
One haves a 5/8" bore, a 3/4" bore and a 7/8" bore.
Why on Earth is the 5/8" bore more expensive?
Whats the standard bore size for a Driven Clutch?
Based off my specs, should I buy the 7/8" bore?
Thank you in advance for your words of wisdom.
