anybody do repairs on body karts, like fixing the fins on the hood bullets of a 57 chevy go kart?

i'm in mount olive, north carolina, and know some body guys, and have done some fiberglass work, myself. i used to own and operate a car audio shop, and there was alot of custom work done there. this is old plastic, with no room for mistakes. i was hoping i could find some replacements, with no luck, so far. there dosen't seem to be any companies around, anymore, that produce the carts. i've only found one, and it's a new buyout of another

If u can work with "Glass" yourself try it slowly it's just like a speaker box &as u know u can always sand it back down if u mess up but take ur time &allow dry time & u should be ok.

IMO, bondo will be too soft, it's made as a filler, not a joiner. (I still can't figure out why you guys call it bondo)

Can you pinpoint exactly where the problem is? I can't make it out from your pic

in the picture, you can see a gold colored stripe running down the picture, from top, to bottom. that gold stripe is where the fin is supposed to be. it it supposed to stick up about 1 inch above the hood bullet itself;
